VRC180Cam

VRC180Cam is a free prefab for vrchat users to add to their avatars or worlds, which allows them to create VR video or photos using the standard vrchat camera.

To get started with VRC180Cam, add the provided Unity package to your avatar or world project. Drag and drop the VRC180Cam prefab into your scene, and attach it to your avatar or place it in the scene where you want 180SBS images to be captured from. If you are adding this to an avatar, you may want to consider using a world constraint so you can place it in the world and record yourself. All the culling layers are already set up to allow self-recording. Also, you should only enable this with the IsLocal animation parameter, or unsynced custom parameters, for the sake of other player's performance. This is a very heavy prefab: it uses 10 cameras, each with a 1024x1024 render texture.

To capture a photo or record a video with VRC180Cam, detach the vrchat camera lens from your camera tablet, and then place the lens completely inside the VRC180Cam box. You should now see a SBS180 image on your camera tablet preview! The camera is configured for 2160p resolution, but you may need to change your vrchat camera settings to make use of this resolution. If you are recording video from the desktop view, you will be limited to the resolution of your desktop window.

This prefab may be incompatible with the post effects in some worlds. If you have problems, try turning off those effects.

Where exploration and experimentation begin.

A high class room of luxury!

That's a strange place for a weak looking structural support.

It's a funny looking robot.

This looks like a great place to relax.

There's a lot of places to relax. Does VR make people tired?

Sweet dreams!

VRC180Cam is free to use, including for commercial use, provided you do not exclusively use it for commercial use. In the spirit of how this prefab was freely given to you, please don't put all of everything you make with this behind a paywall.
